Mariano Rivera says there is "no chance" he'll play when the Yankees play two exhibition games in Panama, according to the New York Daily News.

He also said he was "feeling a little bit down" that the Yankees didn't make the trip while he was still playing.

"I would love to participate and compete [in Panama] while I was playing with the Yankees," he said. "I would love my people to see me play down there in Panama."

MLB.com's Joey Nowak reports that the Yankees have announced that they will play two exhibition games against the Marlins in Panama, in honor of Mariano Rivera.

Calling the two game stretch the Legends Series, the teams will play March 15-16 in Panama City at Rod Carew Stadium.

This is not Mariano Rivera related, but we would be remiss if we did not mention that Derek Jeter has announced that 2014 will be his final season. He posted a letter on his Facebook page explaining the decision.

When I reflected on Mariano Rivera's retirement, I mentioned that Derek Jeter was always my favorite player. I've always joked that when Jeter retired, that would be the end of my childhood.

What a tremendous career, what a tremendous example that he, like Mr. Rivera, set for others to follow. Congratulations Mr. Jeter and may you have a great, successful 2014 season.
