12/13: With Contract Finalized, Rivera Ponders 2012 Retirement

Posted by: Patrick
With the contract done, Anthony McCarron of the Daily News chatted with Mo about his future. Mo said that these might be his last two years.

"Maybe," he said, when asked further. "I don't know. I've been saying it since 2000, I think, you know? But I'm glad everything went fine and that everything got done."

I don't think there is anyone out there who doesn't understand that, sooner or later, he will have to retire and that time will come sooner, rather than later. But, like always, it appears he'll pitch until he is no longer effective at a level he expects. For the time being, we'll enjoy watching him pitch.
